ABOUT
Our Story
Our stamping tool company is the vision of Ed and Jake who both started their careers as Tool and Die Makers and have held several positions throughout the automotive industry. From designing and building new stamping tools to complex weld cells and production lines both domestically and abroad. With 40+ years of combined experience in the industry our founders are well versed in both traditional Tool and Die techniques as well as innovations that have emerged over the past decades.
After gaining experience they became independent and partnered to establish 4D Tooling LLC with an aim to provide an elevated standard of services and to do so they invested in cutting-edge 3D scanning equipment, as well as industry-leading software. Since then, our company has grown exponentially, and we have helped dozens of OEMs and tier one stampers with programs across the globe.
Through partnerships and lease agreements 4D has expanded from specializing in home-line project launches to leasing a 49,000 sqft tool shop located in the greater Grand Rapids area, and we have not stopped there. We now are working to expand using strategic partners to quote, design and build larger complex weld cells. Also, with an additional 18,000 sqft facility where we plan to run assembly production lines.
